Why PASS THE MIC ?

 

The Art of Stand Up Comedy offers a plethora of assets for anyone pursuant of a career in the performing arts.  Actors, Musicians, and Comedians, are challenged with creating an undeniable niche in a world full of aspiring artists.  Stand Up Comedy, helps to cultivate, stage presence, a unique point of view, and undeniably sets one apart from the masses. This class offers a quick study of the art, strategies for boosting your stage presence, tools for developing a unique point of view, and the basic tenants of writing, crafting and performing a 3-5 minute stand-up comedy set. Classes are located in the studio of one of Station North’s brightest artistic gems, Motor House.

 

Motor House is a place where old dividing lines disappear, new connections inspire, where Baltimore’s artists, performers, and those with emerging talents can build a diverse, inclusive community to make fresh opportunities.
